On January 9th, 2015, the 2014 annual National Science and Technology Award Conference was held in Beijing Great Hall of the People. Leaders of the CPC and the state Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, etc., attended the conference and presented certificates to representatives of the award winners. The project of “New theory and method for the climate prediction” undertaken by the research group of Academician Wang Huijun of NZC/IAP/CAS won the National Natural Science Award (second class). The winners are as follows: Wang Huijun, Fan Ke, Sun Jianqi, Jiang Dabang, and Gao Xuejie. This time there were 46 National Nature Science Awards, including 1 first class and 45 second class.
